Moving blocks don't push / interact with players

When using the create mod, I've seen several youtube videos of people making parkour maps using the moving blocks from gears etc., but when i loaded the mod into my new server, all the moving blocks don't interact with players at all. When the machines are turned off and the blocks are stationary, I can stand on them, but once the machine is turned on, i fall through the block. Is there any way to fix this or am i doing something wrong?

 

Am using curse forge with the Create mod for 1.14.1
