inventory glitch

whenever I am in my inventory and want to move an item with shift+click the item does not move and stays where it is, and another thing that glitches is just moving an item inside the inventory whenever i pick it up and try to put it back down it glitches and acts like it's been selected again. this is very infuriating as whenever i try to craft something in large amounts it will be very hard to do so as i can't simply shift+click i have to take it out one by one and even putting it into a stack glitches it out and just general game play is made worse by this. could you please fix this or at least help me to fix it.
