cant play on severs or use a skin

hello 

i cant get onto any type of sever as it keeps saying

"failed to log in: the authentication severs are currently down for maintenance" 

then there my skin problem as they are in my library and i press use they then say successfully using this skin but when i enter a game i am just steave please help me i really want to play with my friends on hypixel.
