I cannot eat

I cannot eat, I try and the food moves with the pieces going around and makes the eating noise like normal. Then the food moves away from my mouth as if I am just holding it with the noise still going and pieces of food animating, does not fill hunger bar and I do not use up whatever food I am eating.

I have tried various foods and none are consumed
