minecraft not responding

When i open up the Minecraft browser it opens and then stays on a black screen for a little until you click it. It then says that it is not responding. I have restarted my computer several times, I have closed other browsers, I have redownloaded Minecraft, i even repaired it using Minecraft launcher but it still wont work.
