Animals, paintings, villagers, all disappeared

I was playing on snapshot 20w51a and the launcher said 1.16.5 was the newest snapshot. Upon loading in 1.16.5 I noticed all the chickens in the nether were gone (i had put them there) I then checked my villager hall and my other farms to see all of the mobs were gone.
