Bad Packet ID 195

Basically, if a player on a server does a certain event, of which I don't know the event, but i'm trying to troubleshoot, it'll kick all players in the given world for reason "Bad Packet java.io.stream 195" (the java error may not be correct). I'm thinking this is client-side due to the same bug in 1.8.1, but with only one person with a messed up client, and since the release of 1.4.2, this has been happening. I am running Bukkit 1.4.2, but many other players that are running vanilla have this happen too. Thank you for your time.
