Sound problem with the logitech g35 headset

Get a sound problem with the g35 logitech usb headset and other usb headsets have the same problems. When you start minecraft the sound is fine but if you tab out or start up some music or a youtube video for example it gets all "crackly" and everything sounds horrible. The volume shifts and the only way to resolve this is to unplug in replug your headset but then the sound in minecraft stops working altogether.

Thought the sound would be like in older minecraft versions.

It sounds horrible.
