Torches, Cobblestone Walls and Chests

If you place a torche in the floor with a block near by, the torche goes to that block, if you put a torche facing noth in the wall and there is a block on the side the torche goes to the other block. (Sorry if my english is bad).
Cobblestone walls do not act like fences, don't know if is a bug or intentional.
Chest stays open if you stay in the chest for some time.
