Running in survival and creative

What I expected to happen was...:
When I was in either survival and creative I was trying to run. From this I found that when I was double tapping it took at least 2-3 seconds for it to respond. I have also had this encounter with my friends as well.

What actually happened was...:
I was trying to run but it took 3-2 seconds for it to respond to the key stroke. My friends are also having this problem.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go in either creative or survival.
2. double tap to sprint
3. Notice on how long it takes for character to respond.
