Dust Particles with /particle on a server crash the game

I was using dust particles for a command block creation and a single player world and it worked just fine. Upon copying this to a server for the most recent snapshot, I narrowed down that using /particle to create a dust particle crashes the game.

An easy way to replicate this is by starting a server in 20w51a, joining it, and doing /particle dust 1.000 0.000 0.000 1
