Unable to connect to friends world in same house with or without wifi

This issue has happened to not just me but many other people. What happens is that this issue is not letting you connect to your friend's server in the same house. It works if you're not in the same house and it's not the wifi because for me I go to different houses every week and the same thing occurs every time. I checked with many people about this and it has been happening to them as well and it still does not work if you play Minecraft pocket edition with your friend in the same house as me its been happening with me for 2 months even on different Microsoft accounts.
