Axolotls in buckets don't keep NBT data

I spawned an axolotl, it was pink, I and put in a bucket. I placed the "bucket of axolotl" and out came a yellow axolotl. I then named it "your friend" (IDK why), put it back in the bucket, took it out, and it was brown, with no name.
