The rain isn't showing up through tinted glass.

As the title says, the rain doesn't show up through the tinted glass. I was building a house in creative and it started to rain. I looked out through the tinted glass I placed earlier and nothing showed up through it. Maybe it's intentional as sunlight can't run through the glass. But I doubt that.
