Filling downwards pointed dripstone breaks bottom two blocks

The bug

Filling an area with a fill command causes the bottom two dripstones to break/fall.

How to reproduce

1. Fill a column of downwards pointed dripstone

   /fill ~ ~ ~ ~ ~-4 ~ pointed_dripstone[vertical_direction=down]
   

2. Notice that the bottom two parts break
