Blazes aren't dropping blaze rods

I was trying to obtain some blaze rods in survival mode in the most recent snapshot, however I spent the last two hours grinding blazes trying to get the rods and not a single one drop a blaze rod. I later went into creative mode to test with a looting 3 sword and still no blaze rods dropped.
