Can not edit sign if placed on the side of the fence!

What I expected to happen was...:
Can not edit sign if placed on the fence

What actually happened was...:
I can't edit sign if placed on the fence!

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Place a fence!
2. Get a sign
3. Place it on or on the side of the fence!

Gamemode: Survival or Creative!
