Can't sleep in the bed if a villager is sleeping and becomes a witch

I was messing around with turning villagers into witches by putting a command block beneath them and striking them with lightning, but then I discovered a bug.  If a villager is asleep and gets struck by lighting, the bed is "Still occupied" despite the witch not in bed.  I'll include a screenshot to prove so.

Visually, there is no one in the bed, and I should be able to sleep in that dang bed. On the bright side, I am now a proud owner of a Magical Possessed Lightning Bed™.
