Inconsistency with block updates when rewiring redstone dust

Hello Mojang Team,

What I expected to happen was...:
Both pistons retract when they lose power after redstone is rewired (see "redstone dust.png")

What actually happened was...:
Pistons may not retract depending on what the redstone is rewired to: in some cases, the piston is not updated by the rewiring (see "repeater or comparator.png" or "other.png").

Steps to Reproduce:
1. reproduce "initial.png"
2. rewire the redstone (without using redstone dust)
