floating pointed dripstone top

When attempting to place multiple floating pointed dripstone using the /fill command, all the dripstone fall off, except the top piece which remains floating

To replicate

• activate cheats
• go in an open area (nothing above the player)
• type the command /fill ~ ~1 ~ ~ ~5 ~ minecraft:pointed_dripstone
• Notice that 4 of the pieces automatically fall off, except the top piece

Expected behavior

All pieces should react the same way when using this command:

• either they should be able to float when placed by commands
• or they should all fall off (better option)
