You freeze even with full leather armor on

Exactly what the title said

 

What I expected:

• I wear full leather armour
• I go into powdered snow
• I don't freeze

What happened:

• The freezing process started

Steps to reproduce:

• Wear full leather armor
• take powdered snow in a bucket and place it on top of each other on the ground
• Now, Go into it and wait
• The freezing process should start
