World Completely gone after windows update

just recently my computer needed an update and restart so that's what I did, except the problem was that when it stopped updating it completely got rid of my Minecraft folder along with everything in it. This is a big problem for me because there is a 5 month world in there that is gone. i tried the right clicking and restore previous version but all it says is that "There are no previous versions". I am have no idea what to do.
