It doesn't let me open the game once I click play

When I open any version of minecraft after clicking play, mojang appears with the loading bar and about 3/4 of the way the bar freezes saying: 'An unexpected problem has occurred and the game has crashed . We apologize for the inconvenience.

Exit code: 0 ' And I get Java (TM) Platform SE binary not responding.

For accuracy I downloaded the minecraft java edition version, I tried to delete the folder from %appdata% and re-download it but nothing.
