Deleted World

I had a world in 1.15.2 (i hope this is not because i did not update the world...) and it just deleted itself today. Ive been working on it for years and apparently i don't have a backup... Is there something that can be done to recover it? I have searched the internet for options and have not been able to locate any minecraft files on my computer. Thanks for the help!
