can not destroy or try to destroy blocks

After a death in the hell I switched to creative mode tryna get back to where I just dead. Then I picked up all my items dropped and turn my game mode back to survival. After that, I found out that I CANT destroy or try to destroy any block. The action looked like a quick hit but it did not stay longer, I can not put my hand or any tools onto any block to destroy it. It did not work anyway whether I restarted the game or the save.
