Minecraft Launcher

So I have recently tried playing 1.7.10 and 1.8.9 on the normal Minecraft java launcher, and it gives me an error code. "Exit Code: -1" I have never had this happen to me and I just need help, I've updated all my drivers and everything. I have even uninstalled and reinstalled the actual launcher 2 times and it still gives me the same message. 1.16 works just fine but not 1.7.10 and 1.8.9.
