Minecraft login not working "Sorry! Make sure you are online and try again"

When i try to log in to the Minecraft Launcher an error message pops up: "Sorry! Make sure you are online and try again". I have tried changing my DNS and changing "channel": "release" to "channel": "beta" in the launcher_profiles.json file. Are there any other ways to fix this issue? It's getting really annoying...
