Trees decaying too fast

What i expected to happen was for the tree to float as usual. What actually  happened was the tree instantly decayed and kinda lagged my game. The way to trigger this bug is to simply break a tree down on Minecraft Java snapshot 20w45a. this isnt a big bug but nevertheless it is still a bug.
