Lava cauldrons don't make lava particles

Lava cauldrons don't make lava particles that lava produces at random (see screenshot, they look like smoke with a melted rock on top)

How to reproduce:

1) Place a few cauldrons filled with lava.

2)  Notice how they never produce the ash particles like lava does.
