Extreme Performance Downgrade

I have had some SERIOUS issues with the new update. Lag has been at an all time high.
I originally had: 30 FPS
Ever since I have had the new update I get from: 8-16 FPS

I am unsure if this has to do with my graphics, the new launcher, or something else.
