Can not down load game

Put the summary of the bug you're having here

What I expected to happen was...:
the minecraft.exe file should run and install the game

What actually happened was...:
It ran, popped up a launcher window. when I click play, it crashes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. run minecraft.exe
2. .click play..
3. ..crash.
