spider kills skeleton riding on it by climbing to the ceiling

I was looking for ores in a cave and I found a skeleton riding a spider. Since the spider controls the movement, It can go to the ceiling. When it does this, the skeleton riding on the spider is taking suffocation damage and will die. the spider doesn't moves away when the skeleton is taking damage.
