You can't pick up hovering items on half slabs.

Basically, I can never pick up hovering items when they are hovering on a half slab. Maybe it's only when the half slab is completely surrounded by full blocks, or maybe it's just all half slabs, but it's happened to me quite a few times now, and it's starting to annoy me.
