Boats don't try dismounting you on land

When I dismount a boat I am dismounted onto the boat itself, instead of a nearby block. I found out by trying to dismount near by dock, which I built to dismount off of. The dock is made from slabs, one slab off the water. The only way for this to work now is by moving my boat under the dock, then dismounting while I'm stuck half way in the block, unlike how it used to be, where dismounting my boat a block away from the dock placed me on the dock itself. I noticed this change after 1.16 released
