Impossible to escape water nor to more on water

What I expected to happen was...:
To be able to go up, and escape from water.

To be able to go against a current of water.

What actually happened was...:
I was trapped under the water.

I could not go against the water current nor to swim up the waterfall.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Make a 2x2x2 water area
2. Jump in on survival
3. Try to jump to the surface

1. Make a stream of water
2. Try to go against the current.
