Minecraft 1.6.1 on Mac causes kernel panic when game window is expanded

I downloaded the new launcher today (06/30/2012) to play Minecraft 1.6.1 it played fine in the small window, but when I went to expand the game window, my computer crashed. I was able to repeat this three times.
