"Failed To Authenticate Your Connection!" Server Connection Error

I recently changed my Minecraft public username and since I haven't been able to connect to any server until re-logging in on the launcher. This happened to me on an unmodified version of 1.16.2 (Latest update). Not sure if this is a huge issue but was definitely an inconvinience for me.
