Minecraft 1.16.2 OSX 10.14.6 MOJAVE HIGH CPU USAGE

I opened Minecraft on version 1.16.2 and after a couple of minutes I noticed a high amount of CPU usage. Usually hovering around 200% - 300%. My Mac got considerably hot (150F) and became extremely laggy.
