Unable to interact with world

I have a world that I have been using for a long time, but today it stopped letting me interact with it. I cannot place or destroy blocks. Hostile mobs do not attack me and I cannot attack them, as well as passive mobs. I also do not drown. Once I left the chunk it stopped working in, I fell into the void and kept falling. It is completely unplayable
