Tamed Pet doesn't teleport nor follow me.

title says most of it, I have tamed a cat and it doesn't follow me anymore. It followed me for the first 5 minutes but now it doesn't teleport nor follow me. I have tried making it sit and then follow me, it doesn't work. I also tried disconnect as well as dying and that doesn't work.
