Piston being able to hold up an unsupported falling block

Build a pretty fast timer to a piston and put it so it is extended if the clock is off. Put alot of sand on the piston head and a block in front of the piston head on the ground. Turn on the clock. Break the block on the ground. Now you have a block that is only supported by it being moved back and forth.
