Endermen not fully affected bu invisibility

What I expected to happen was...:

the eyes of the Endermen to turn invisible

What actually happened was...:

The Endermen's eyes are visible but rendered behind other entities

Steps to Reproduce:

Throw a splash potion of invisibility on an Enderman in a boat
