Lan Party

Myself and my siblings were trying to play minecraft together this evening (9pm CST) but our ability to use lan servers would not work. we tried restarting the game, restarting computers, and even changing our internet from the boosted to normal, and nothing happened. I just want to know if this is because of the update still initializing or if its a legitimate bug in the system.
