Cave Spiders don't attack you if you spawn them with a spawn egg in survival

I was spawning hostile mobs to see if there AI was correct and when I got to cave spider and spawned him in survival mode, he didn't attack. All the other hostiles attacked after spawned in survival with a spawn egg. I spawned a bunch of cave spiders around me with survival mode(I was switching from creative to survival to get the spawn eggs)and not a single one attacked me and it was sunset(if that makes any difference).

I went into creative mode, got spawn eggs for cave spiders and spawned them while in creative mode. After that, I went to survival and only a few attacked me.
