Unavailability of 4th layer of keyboard layer (neo/adnw/koy/bone)

The 4th layer of the alternative german keyboard layouts neo/adnw/koy/bone don't work in the chat (at least on linux). While this is not the most important feature, i would still like to see it fixed.
