Cant load or create worlds

Whenever I try to load my survival world it takes about 2 to 3 minutes to "generate chunks" and then it sends me to title screen. After waiting for about 4-5 minutes, however I enter the few generated chunks of my world and I cant break or place blocks and if I walk away from the generated chunks I keep falling to the void and get teleported back to the place where I spawned.
