Fire charges & Ender pearls in creative

In creative mode the fire charges & ender pearls don't work right. For example,
fire charges act like flint & steel, & ender pearls don't even leave your hand when your trying to throw them.

What I thought was going to happen was that these items would work like in
survival.

What actually happened was that you can't throw the fire charges, they just act like flint & steel; Unless you shoot them out a dispenser, then they fly. With the ender pearls, well they don't even leave your hand, THEY DON'T DO ANYTHING!

please help me. Because I would like to teleport using ender pearls.
