Flowers dont grow with bone meal in Mushroom Fields and Badlands

Of course, the tile puts as granted that i have grass around and i don't use bone meal on mycelium. The problem is that when i use bone meal on grass while in a mushroom fields and badlands biomes. I'm not sure if this is intended but the wiki states otherwise. I put some attached images, one with grass without flowers, the other being just the flower table from the wiki.

I don't know if the Gamepedia wiki is official source but it has never been inaccurate so far when seeking info. And then the grass from the mushroom fields is lush green, i feel like growing flowers there would make sense, unlike the badlands.
