Droppers / Dispensers get powered as if redstone lamps

(I sincerely hope that this is a bug and not a full feature because I cannot find a change on the internet pertaining to this but if it is a feature, you may gladly take this down.) So you know how if you power a row of redstone lamp from the middle one all three light up? Well this is affecting droppers / dispensers as well. For example, I placed three droppers in a row with a repeater going into the middle, but as I turned on the repeater, all three dropped their items. This would make sense with redstone lamps but this breaks SO MANY contraptions and builds pertaining to these blocks.
