Dying in Hardcore doesn't stop you from respawning

Created a hardcore world and everything worked fine till I died. I was able to respawn in the world. The way I found this out was because the family and I love playing hardcore over our lan. Before if anyone died, minecraft wouldn't let them respawn. This changed and now they can respawn in a hardcore world they died in. So to test further, the host died, and they were able to respawn as well.
